Summer! Art studio moves outside and Art Books

For the summer, I've moved my home art studio out to the front porch of our 1909 farmhouse in Auburn. I hosed down the deck and ceiling, taken the easel down from the upstairs guest room/art studio, and will be bringing acrylic paint and brushes out soon. The porch faces a every changing garden and has fantastic Northern light, best appreciated in summer. I've noticed the arc of the sun moving north from winter to spring, becoming more intense this time of year. I like the brightness of all the colors outside. At other times, the Northwest palette can be gloomy, which does have its own charm.
I've purchased some new and used art books for my collection, including "Pierre Bonnard, Early and Late," "Morozov: Icons of Modern Art," and "Eyes of the Storm, Modernism in Ukraine 1900's to 1930's." More books will be arriving by mail soon. I think I must drive the librarians at the Auburn branch of the King County Library a bit daft by ordering several huge and heavy large art books which they have to lug around every week. Among my favorites right now are "Manet and Morisot," "Chinese Patchwork," and "Sorolla: The Masterworks."
Thinking I should get away from geometry in my painting and off to something new. Summer awaits.
